Salt Lake City (July 28, 2008) – Four players with local ties and PGA TOUR experience will tee it up at
Willow Creek Country Club for the 2008 Utah Championship Presented by Zions Bank. Tournament
organizers today announced Craig Barlow, Bobby Clampett, Boyd Summerhays and Clay Ogden will receive
sponsor’s exemptions to compete in Utah’s only official PGA TOUR event.
“The fact that we’re able to attract such great players to come compete in our event is a real testament to the
success and popularity of this tournament among professional golfers,” said Tournament Director Mike
Smith. “Clay and Boyd will give local fans something to get excited about, and Bobby and Craig bring with
them some impressive PGA TOUR experience.”

Craig Barlow has played in 14 PGA TOUR events this year, with his best finish coming at the Zurich Classic
of New Orleans where he finished tied for 23rd. He has played in 266 PGA TOUR events during his 12 year
career, with winnings totaling more than $4.9 million. Barlow has three 3rd place, 14 top-ten and 46 top-25
finishes on TOUR. Barlow missed the cut by just two strokes at this month’s British Open; he also played in
the US Open earlier this year. He is currently ranked 194th on the PGA TOUR money list, and is ranked 65th
on TOUR in driving distance.

Bobby Clampett has played in two Nationwide Tour events this year, most recently at the Price Cutter
Championship where he finished tied for 39th. He was a three-time All American at Brigham Young
University before turning pro in 1980. He earned $1.4 million during his 14 years on tour, and has one PGA
TOUR victory to his name from the 1982 Southern Open. Bobby currently covers the PGA TOUR as an
announcer for CBS Sports and plans to join the Champions Tour in 2010. Clampett returns to Willow Creek
for the first time since 1978, when he played in a foursome with Billy Casper, Johnny Miller and Bob Hope.
Boyd Summerhays, a native Utahn with strong family ties on tour, will look to add to his success on the
Nationwide Tour. Summerhays has started 29 events on the TOUR since his rookie season in 2004, with his
best finish coming at the 2004 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am (T25). In addition, Summerhays has
four Top 25 finishes on the Nationwide Tour.

Clay Ogden burst onto the scene in 2005 when his win at the US Public Links Tournament earned him a spot
in The Masters in 2006. Ogden is a native of West Point, Utah who also played for the Brigham Young
University golf team. He will be playing in Utah’s only official PGA TOUR event for the first time this year.
The Utah Championship Presented by Zions Bank will be played September 1-7 at Willow Creek Country
Club. The tournament will also be broadcast live nationally and internationally on The Golf Channel. For
